When your life is in the flow, it feels fantastic. When you are stuck, it feels funky. What makes this happen? Fear. To remedy this, when fear hits, use all your energy to break free of the internal messages keeping you stuck. How do you do that? By listening to your heart. It will tell you what you need to do.

Stop You in Your Tracks


Giving yourself permission to go for what you really want isn't always easy. Feeling undeserving, unworthy, or selfish can get in the way. Remember, though, you're not really those things, but rather, those things are nothing more than negative self beliefs.

Unfortunately, negative self beliefs can stop you in your tracks, and keep you from moving forward. So, think about this: Do you fully give yourself permission to live the life you really want?

Please Pass the Cereal

Do you ever feel overwhelmed? You know, the kind of overwhelmed that makes you want to eat 11 bowls of Cheerios™ at 10 p.m. just to chill out? The problem with feeling overwhelmed is that it keeps you from problem solving your way to a solution.

I am currently coaching a woman who wants to do what I do. She wants to empower and inspire women (and men) to get what they really want and enjoy their life. But, she feels so far from where she needs to be to make her big goal happen.

Hearing her describe all of her concerns, obstacles, and self beliefs about how impossible it is to leave her office job, I feel nothing but respect for her. I mean, really. Everything she told me is real to her. But, even with her obstacles, she still wants to change careers and I know she can do it.

What gets in the way of getting what you want in life are your beliefs and your values. It's your beliefs and your values that controls your entire life. And everyday, you decide which emotional states (your values) you want to either feel or avoid based off of beliefs.

When we look at beliefs, we know that all human behavior is belief driven.  So, if one of your beliefs is that you can't be successful, you're probably not going to be successful. If you believe you can succeed, you'll most likely succeed. Those are just different beliefs.

And, if your values are in conflict with one another, you're in conflict. By that I mean, let's say that one of your values is being adventurous. But you also need security (another value), now you're in conflict. You'll be torn as to which direction you want your life to go.

The bottom line is it's your beliefs and your values that control your entire life. If you desire a change in your life, begin by uncovering your beliefs and values. And if they're negative, resolve it by creating positive self beliefs that align with your personal values.

Finally Free

Here's a relevant modality: What you feel comes from what think.

You might be saying, "Well, I get that." But hang on, do you really? See, from my experience most people are focused on what they're feeling. They'll say they're feeling mad, confused, lonely, jealous, angry, joyful, or happy. In other words, they identify with how they feel.

But when I speak, train, or coach someone, I go completely backwards. In other words, I point out that you feel what you feel because of what you think. And, what you think you believe. So, believing and thinking co-work together and drive your behavior (and your actions). 

But, here's where it gets life changing. When you move from your feelings, to your thoughts, to your beliefs, you are smack dab in the thick of how to untrap all the negative stuff that's keeping you stuck. And, you know I'm all about helping you move forward. 

Simply put, when you sit with your beliefs, without making them positive or negative, you're in a beautiful state of wholeness. In other words, you're experiencing (self) acceptance. (As I write this, I'm hoping that what I'm writing is making sense to you.) 

If this does makes sense, begin now to accept where your healing begins. It starts with reaching down, pulling up old negative beliefs, and turning them into neutral thoughts. If you're not ready to do that just yet, please don't beat yourself up. Allow the time necessary to make this change.

And, this one change has the power to free you to be you.
