Stuck In Mud

I get really excited when I see people excited about their future. On Facebook, people are announcing that 2019 is going to be their best year ever. On Twitter, I watch videos on what people are doing to change their life going forward.

If I may, though, I’d like to speak directly to those of you that feel stuck right now. I want to put it in your heart that you can change, grow, and thrive. Yes, you will need to exert more energy to bust out of your current situation, but that’s only because you’re stuck (think of a car stuck in mud).

Some of you want to completely change your life, and some of you want to improve doing what you’re already doing. Both groups have their own set of challenges. And, it’s your job to figure out how to leverage your strengths and strengthen your limitations.

Get a coach, get a book, meditate, pray, get in a mastermind group, attend a retreat, or just simply listen to your heart. But, whatever you decide, you just need to hit the gas, get out of the mud, and experience a fresh, new beginning.

Step Up

Is it time to step up? You know what I mean, right? You know you need to do something, but you aren't doing it.

And, why is that? Why aren't you stepping up?

A lot of people don't step up because they don't feel ready. Some don't like the feeling of commitment. And some are so comfortable where they're at that they dread moving forward.

If this is you, you might want to rethink your reason for not stepping up. That's because nothing dampens your spirit more than talking yourself out of doing what your spirit knows you need. When this internal system is not satisfied, it will kick up tons of dirt like a horse in a full gallop.

So, what can you do about that? Well, simply put, just stop. Stand still. Look at where you want to go. Realize that you don't need to be fully ready to go there. Just begin moving in that direction. You can do a correction as needed.

As far a feeling uncomfortable, remember this. When you're comfortable, you're pretty much on automatic pilot. Meaning, you are repeating the same thing without thinking about it. (That's not bad, it's just that we're wanting you to grow and move forward.)

And, what about someone not wanting to commit. Well, this one is deep. There are many reasons this one comes up. For some, committing leaves you vulnerable. Vulnerable to criticism. For some, it feels like a trap. But in my opinion, the #1 reason for lack of commitment is lack of self-belief.

Please figure out what's next for you and do something about it. You won't believe how much beauty, happiness, and success is waiting for you if you'll just step up.
