2 Things to Do First

Are you having trouble staying motivated? If you answered yes, why it that? Some people feel it's because the task feels too daunting. Maybe it's way out of your comfort zone. Perhaps you're too overwhelmed with all the other stuff you already have on your plate.

Well, there are really two reasons why it's hard to stay motivated: 
#1 Unless you see what you want as a must — and not a should — you lose motivation.
#2 Unless you take action — on what it is you're wanting to accomplish — you lose motivation.

To focus on #1, it means that to stay motivated, pick out what you MUST change, and start there. If you hear yourself say, "I should look for another job!", that doesn't work. But, when you absolutely know — without any hesitation that it's time to get another job — will you find the motivation to make it happen.

To focus on #2, it means that once you find your MUST, you have to take immediate action. Action is where you get your power. Action is what creates motivation.

Every coaching client I work with always wishes I had a magic wand that I could wave over them and magically make them more motivated. But, I promise, if you can internalize how to use my two ways to get and stay motivated, you will change and grow and accomplish what it is you want to accomplish.
