Be Consistent

Success isn't the result of you doing one thing. It is the result of you creating a schedule, and then working backwards to always fulfill what's on your schedule.

For instance, I wasn't sure what I was going to blog about this week, but I followed my schedule. In other words, I'm never quite sure what I'm going to write about until the day I write it.

But, a beautiful outcome of my consistency is how much my subscriber list has grown over time. So, the bottom line here is, set a schedule and be consistent.

Climb the Mountain

I’m going to a Christmas party Saturday. It’ll be at a beautiful home on Cougar Mountain. There’ll be a shuttle, delicious food, and live music. But, most importantly, I’ll meet new people.

I’m telling you this because I’ve been invited to this event for the past three years, but I didn’t go. I usually had another engagement, maybe I was out of town, or it just didn’t work out.

The hostess is so happy that I’m going to finally meet this dynamic group of people. They’re movers and shakers. They have a Success Group. They support each other to reach big goals.

See, I understand how success works. Every step you take on your path gets to closer to the real you. But, often times that step isn’t what you want to take.

Take it anyway. Risk it. Start something. Say ‘yes’ to something especially if your gut tells you to do it. I’m not sure how Saturday’s party turns out, but I won’t know unless I go.

Finally Free

Here's a relevant modality: What you feel comes from what think.

You might be saying, "Well, I get that." But hang on, do you really? See, from my experience most people are focused on what they're feeling. They'll say they're feeling mad, confused, lonely, jealous, angry, joyful, or happy. In other words, they identify with how they feel.

But when I speak, train, or coach someone, I go completely backwards. In other words, I point out that you feel what you feel because of what you think. And, what you think you believe. So, believing and thinking co-work together and drive your behavior (and your actions).

But, here's where it gets life changing. When you move from your feelings, to your thoughts, to your beliefs, you are smack dab in the thick of how to untrap all the negative stuff that's keeping you stuck. And, you know I'm all about helping you move forward.

Simply put, when you sit with your beliefs, without making them positive or negative, you're in a beautiful state of wholeness. In other words, you're experiencing (self) acceptance. (As I write this, I'm hoping that what I'm writing is making sense to you.)

If this does makes sense, begin now to accept where your healing begins. It starts with reaching down, pulling up old negative beliefs, and turning them into neutral thoughts. If you're not ready to do that just yet, please don't beat yourself up. Allow the time necessary to make this change.

And, this one change has the power to free you to be you.

Move Forward

Here's my wish: If you read my blog, you're learning from my blog. You see, your success is all I care about. It's what I think about. It's what I write about. It's the only thing I know how to do.

I begin my post this way because I am on the eve of an important keynote I'm delivering in a few days. Keynotes often times are upbeat, energizing, and fun. But mine will be very focused with a strong message of how to be your best.

As I prepare for the event, I'm not concerned about what I'm going to say. What concerns me is what I'll need to leave out in order to speak 45 minutes. My PowerPoint deck will help. I nailed the images I've selected.

But, when I leave the stage and I see hundreds of people rushing about to get to their first workshop, inside I'll be fixated on one thought, "Will you move forward?"

I sort of know the answer to that question. Some will. Some won't. The ones who are meant to move forward, will. The ones who are not meant to move forward, will, but it'll be another day.

The beauty of change is that it can happen anytime, anywhere, or anyplace.
