Shame has a source. What's your source? Is it your inner critic? Maybe low self-esteem? The thing about shame, is, that it makes you feel useless, unlovable, and not valued as a human being. Wow. That's one destructive outcome caused by a negative emotion--shame. Remember. A healthy, internalized view -- of yourself -- will protect you from feeling vulnerable, helpless, and shamed.
