Me and two seventh graders sat outside an old-school convenience store. This store was out in the middle of nowhere. It's the type of store that when you walk in, there's an old wooden table with benches -- immediately to the left -- for talking over life's stuff. Outside the store -- as they devoured giant orange peanut-shaped marshmallow candy -- we talked about their last baseball game of the year (the teachers against the students). We waved at the few cars that drove past. Every driver waved back. Then they yelled out, "We gotta go!" It was time for them head home. They jumped on their banged-up bikes and took off. Within three minutes, they were gone. How about you? Could your 'inner kid' use an adventure? Life Is Fabulous!
